These critical consciousness videos were created by Finn McEvoy as part of the MRes (Masters by Research) he undertook at UWE Bristol, supervised by me, between 2018 and 2020.

Based on Paulo Freire’s ideas of critical reflection and critical action there are five short video episodes focusing on the topic of “population level well-being”.

All the videos are available for everyone on youtube at this link. The five episodes cover:

1. Introduction.
2. Poverty and inequality.
3. Capitalism and neoliberalism.
4. The media.
5. Alternative frameworks and pathways for change.
