Interview with Charlie Taylor on University Speaking


On October 24th 2021, Miles was interviewed by Charlie Taylor on BBC Radio Somerset for his regular feature University Speaking.

Miles talks about what first drew him to psychology, studying it and then becoming and working in clinical psychology. He also talks about his research around student transitions into university, student distress and the potential contextual and upstream influences on these areas. This relates to published work on SAILL (struggles around independent living and learning) and the potential influence of cuts, competition and comparison on student mental health.
